Title: Just an ordinary day ......
Post by: Roxy on April 13, 2011, 12:21:20 am
full of the amazing things my goats seem to do on a regular basis.

Today, one of the Franks (we have three Franks, all look the same!) escaped from the field shelter, which had the gate across.  I put him back in, and he obliged by showing me how he did it.  .......He squeezed himself through the top bars of the gate - simple he said;.

I turned round and Lily the white kid was doing a tap dance on top of the bantam hut while mum grazed oblivious to what she was doing - then she tried flying, and launched herself off the top of the hut.

Meanwhile, Finlay leapt on to the back of Bertie the pet Shetland who is the llamas companion.  Bertie thought this was wonderful, as he often carries half a dozen hens round the field this way.  Finlay did a did a fine act of balancing, and worked out how to steer Bertie to go in the direction he wanted......he pulled the corresponding ear.

Then Lily squeezed through the gap in the corner of the hay store, knocked a big sack of hay behind the door and could not get out again.  Mum was going  mad, Lily was going mad, but could not get out.......

If I did not laugh, I would cry.  Hubby just looked horrified at it all.

That's brilliant ... what a clever little goat Finlay is!  ;D
