Anyone had experience of a lamb coughing?
I have 6 orphan lambs, (just over a week old) fed ad lib through a bucket system, one of them has started coughing, have studied them all, all appear fine, no runny nose, no messy bums, feeding well, have put hay in plus small amount of creep and water all seem content.
I was away when they arrived but my daughter says it was not coughing before, this appears to coincide with when I put the first lot of hay in, I will take a rectal temp as soon as I can, but if anyone has had this before your input would be useful :)
By the way it does not cough constantly, I was out in the shed working this morning and it does it approx 4 hours apart, about 5 little coughs!!

Have a listen to its chest in case it has a touch of something on its lungs. Or could be dusty hay. Could be nothing but when old enough give it atleast one dose of heptavac or something else which does pasturella just as a precaution.

Strange things but do have a listen to it's chest.
I have a lamb that sneezes everytime I put hay out ;D
