Title: Our first lambs of the year (just when most people are finishing!)
Post by: lachlanandmarcus on April 11, 2011, 11:52:43 am
Coco, first time Mum and my fave young ewe had twin girls (hurrah!) this morning!!

Both seem fit and well and shes very fond of her rather unlike her looking children! Our white ram hasnt yet produced a coloured lamb whatever the ewe colour, he certainly stamps his stock. Tho we will need a new ram next year to avoid in breeding.

Coco is beautiful and the lambs are quite cute too  :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:  8)

We have barely got started either - only 5 have lambed out of 24 and we know we will go on into May.  We thought the lovely weekend we have had would have brought forth loads of lambs, but no - only one ewe lambed over the whole weekend  ::)

Just as well her name's not Penelope or similar - you'd need longer lambs. Or I suppose you could have a Pene and a lope  ;D

Congratulations!
