Title: Boiling Infertile Eggs For Chicks
Post by: Luce747 on April 10, 2011, 02:25:31 pm
Does anyone know if it is safe to boil up infertile eggs that have been in the incubator to crush up for chick food?

Seems a shame to throw the clear eggs away if they can be used.

thx

Any bacteria that may be in the eggs would have proliferated in the incubator. Boiling doesn't always kill nasties off.

All I can say is that it doesn't feel right, I would not do it. They've been a few weeks warmer than room temperature, no.... :&>
