Could anyone that breeds Suffolk sheep tell me - are Suffolk lambs ALWAYS born Black?

If they are - DOH! (see Avatar!)

 :sheep:
-
your avatar looks like a perfectly normal suffolk lamb

-
The birth colour of suffolks can be variable  if born dark they generally   fade to look exactly like your lamb.

				Thanks for replies.

The lamb in the Avatar was born the colour as seen in the pic (i.e. white body - quite 'white' ears too). He has not faded colour. He is only a few days old in the pic.

I didn't think Suffolks were born that colour?

 ? ? ?

the colouration on suffolk lambs is variable so not being born dark doesn't mean it isn't a suffolk neither does it mean it is unless its parents are.
