We have a feed hopper into which we emptied 25 bags of sow nuts. Unfortunately a few weeks ago we had horizontal rain and the water must have got under one edge of the hopper lid. Anyway to cut a long story short the damp nuts have been brewing nicely until I discovered them today - lots of greeny/blue mould and some yellowy mould. I have removed all the affected nuts and before I bin them I was wondering if I am being too cautious.......(given that pigs spend 90% of their time with snouts buried in mud up to their ears)
Thanks ;D

Don't think you're being too cautious - I wouldn't feed my pigs anything mouldy. Not sure how you're gonna dispose of it though ??? What a shame, hope you haven't lost too much - it's not cheap :(
Blasted weather >:(

I recently bought some from the feed merchant got home was mouldy wouldn't consider giving it to mine.

Yes I got a refund I'm thinking you didn't :-( bugger as it's so expensive. You were right not to give it them though.
