I'm from glorious Shropshire, we have a 9 acre smallholding with Giant exhibition Dewlap Toulouse geese, Norfolk Black turkeys, Indian Runner ducks, Buff Oprington chickens, did have some Coloured Rylands but no longer, decide sheep weren't quite my bag (though they were lovely), 3 beautiful lurchers, 4 beehives (Warres and Nationals), 2 large polytunnels (filling the latest is the project for this season) an orchard and a self catering grade 2 listed converted barn, www.churchbankfarm.wordpress.com (http://www.churchbankfarm.wordpress.com) is a bit of a blog with loads of pics if you want to have a look, all basically looked after by lil ol me as other half has his own business to keep himself occupied.
Just heard about this site from a pal of mine, (another member of the Shropshire smallholder group, worth joining if your in our area) what a great site! So much info and so many people helping each other which is great, I'm a member of a few other forums, beekeeping mainly but they're not as active as this one.
Anyway, I think thats a big enough intro sorry rattled a bit there!!

Hi and welcome from Carnoustie on the Angus coast
Sounds like a great set up you have. We have Ryelands - lambing just now. Love them. I'm sure I spoke to someone from the Shopshire Smallholders group at the Smallholder Show in Builth Wells a couple of years ago with a view to "twinning" with Central Scotland Smallholders. Never quite got that off the ground, though.
