Greetings from a wet Staffordshire :)
I spend my days surrounded by almost 200 sheep, 4 Kunekune pigs, a couple of donks, 1 Shetland pony and a rather mottley bunch of chickens. Oh - mustn't forget the 12 cats ;D
I am hoping this forum will be as friendly and as useful as another one I used to contribute to...

Hi Linz,
Just visited your website - LOVE those fingerless gloves :)
Julie

thank you just this minute finished them,
They don't take that long to make. less than a day but I had plenty of brakes.
-
Hi and welcome Julie.
Where have you come from (forum wise and geographically)?
-
12 cats, guess that sorts out any potential rat problem before it could ever arise, doesnt it!! which other forum then is the one to avoid?
-
Forum wise - River Cottage. This was a BRILLIANT forum - lovely helpful friendly people. Then they changed the format and it all started to go horribly wrong :'(
Geographically - from Staffordshire, not far from Leek.
My 12 cats are currently USELESS at vermin control but I can make legitimate excuses for most of them...
2 are only babies and haven't experienced the great outdoors yet - the closest they have come to vermin is a grubby sock from the laundry basket :-[ 2 are too old and can't be bothered to move more than 2 feet from the fire, 2 are Sphynxes (no fur) and can't be allowed out for obvious reasons, 1 is deaf and so stays indoors on safety grounds. The other 5 have yet to learn the difference between a field vole (NOT vermin) and a rat (DEFINITELY vermin)....

how cute, they sound adorable. must keep you busy! :)

Hi Neil - lovely part of the world you live in :) I used to come down that way quite often - there was a sheep breeder who lived in Coleford(?) who I used to regularly visit...

P.S. Heaps of mud here too :(

Welcome from me too Julie.
I'm in South Yorkshire but spend a lot of my time dashing around the Staffordshire/Derbyshire/Cheshire area.
