Title: wild boar recipes (has anybody kept them ?)

not sure how good this is as I have only just found it myself ...but looks like there are loads of recipes on here....  http://www.britishwildboar.org.uk/Recipe.htm#Barb   I think some of the links are dead ....but lots are still active ....hope there is something on there for you all ....I am seriously considering getting some wild boar to breed, I have a couple of acres of woodland for the use of.....ideal for wild boar....has anyone kept them ? I have only looked after somebody elses pigs on their farm .

the only prob with this russ is that they will do all the digging for you

Russ are you in France or UK.  In France there are very strict rules governing wild boar and breeding.  In UK you have those nice animal rights people who go let them out to get run over on the roads.

HM, I am in  Wales UK. and have about 3 acres or so of woodland for the use of.....Over here some people have even got away with needing a licence to keep them . I think I will get some ' normal ' pigs first though . Then if I feel energetic enough , go for some wild boar. Those nice people let mink go not far from where I am a few years ago . Now they are a real pest in places , and I know, from first hand experience, that mink will turn and go for humans.

Not sure if there are any around here but they are defo where my mum and dad live little blighters but i belive the otter are holding there own there.

please will somebody tell me what the oft used abbreviation 'lol' means,

lol.... that really is funny ...as it drove me round the bend as well ... it means, lots of laughs or loads of laughs or laughs out loud depending on situation or who you ask ...lol
