Title: splitting hazel for hurdles.

hi all
 can anyone point me to a source of the tool hurdlers use to split timber, its like an axe but with the blade on the lower edge, if that makes sense.i think it may be called a 'froe' but im really not sure about that.
 any techical tips on doing this much appreciated thanks.
