It's a lovely town if you ever get the chance to visit. We holidayed there years ago, just across from the cricket ground. On the Sunday morning, we sat in the sun, listening to the church bells and the thwack of wood on leather. Ooh er, missus  ;D.

No, really, it's a proper town - and it has a steam railway that goes up into the Dales. Nice pubs and shops too. And nice people, we found.

No I am in Australia but we have Pickering Brook as  one of the towns as well
