Title: Livestock Worm Counts
Post by: supplies for smallholders on February 23, 2011, 08:34:56 pm
Hi,

I would prefer to think of this as offering a service rather than advertising.....

We have now teamed up with a laboratory to offer livestock worm counts by post, no need to pay your vet high fees for the service, and allows you to manage your worming programme.

Suitable for pigs, sheep, goats, poultry and fowl.

Take a look here : https://www.suppliesforsmallholders.co.uk/worm-count-kit-p-2242.html (https://www.suppliesforsmallholders.co.uk/worm-count-kit-p-2242.html)

Thanks

Thats really good will be ordering some as I hate worming unnecessarily, I see it does not include horses though.
Is this because horse owners are often perceived as having bottomless wallets ?

Hi,

It does include horses, but on that site we concentrate on livestock, will be offering the horses kit (which is the same kit) on our sister site www.suppliesforequestrian.co.uk (http://www.suppliesforequestrian.co.uk) - and it will be at the same price  ;D

Thanks

Can I get away with sending one sample per animal?  We have 2 goats, 4 sheep and 9 chickens?

Hi,

Yes, You could collect samples from each animal type and mix them in the pot. In the case of the hens you could collect samples from the coop.

Thanks
