Title: Coccidiosis??
Post by: Frieslandfilly on February 18, 2011, 09:12:38 am
I have a problem with some 5 weeks old chicks that I bought in for meat, they were vaccinated and they have been on chick crumb so I dont understand how they have coccidiosis? It is def that, I sat and watched them this morning after spotting blood on the floor, thought they might have just caught a claw or something until I saw one of them poo and then another!! There are 12 altogether, What is my course of action, besides separating the two, thourougly cleaning out and disinfecting? I have some baytril left over from another time when a chicken was injured, will this do the job? If not can someone point me in the right direction please, thanks
