Title: Hen House Ventilation

I'm in the process of converting an old Wendy-house into a new hen-house, and I was just wondering if there are any guidelines on ventilation?  The books all seem to say something like "Ventilation is very important. It is vital that the house be well ventilated, but draught free".

So, I'm confused now. How do you achieve well ventilated, but without draughts?  ???

we use a wendy-type house... we have piano hinges on the door which allows air in and out.
we chicken wired the window and so can remove the perspex panes in the warmer weather.
the pop-hole lets air in too, and the extra height compared to a coop allows better circulation.  you could always add grills or grates high up if you wanted more ventilation... ones which can be closed can reduce draughts

Place the ventilation above where the chooks roost. On my latest henhouse my hubby drilled holes in a fancy shape on the gable end .
