Title: geese siting there eggs ??

hi guys im pleased to say that yesterday i got my first goose egg of the year :)
after last years  disaster as no young hatched and there was all sorts of problems
i am wanting to give it ago again this year what i am planning to do is leave her
with one egg and keep taking the new ones she lays away until she decides to sit then i can
put 14/15 egg back under her for her to brood the only prob i am having is where she is laying the eggs under a lean to is
very wet and muddy .
i have threw straw under but when i went today it was all messed up again and the eggs were soaking wet
could this be a problem when she decides to sit the eggs ??

 Hi
you'll probably get more success with an incubator. We managed to raise 7 goslings last year - our first year with geese - with a 60% success rate - most of the failures was down to us being unexperienced at candling and the eggs being unfertilised. Get yourself a good incubator - worth the money and more reliable than mother goose!

yeah i have all the incubators and all that lot
i just would like to see the mother running with her young geese
also when hatching with a incubator its the heat raising cost which is free with the mother
