on my swollen finger. Physiotherapist was impressed at how well I am doing. I was worried to be honest, thinking I did not have much movement in it. but she explained things like this take a while. I was expecting to be sqeezing sponges and things, but no ....had my hand in a bath of hot wax, then wrapped in a plastic bag, then ultrasound on it, in a lot of pain now. Got to keep exercising fingers, and wear a finger stall, and wrap what looks like adhesive plaster round my finger.
I am working hard to get finger mobile again, want to get back on the ponies soon!

Good news, did you ever watch finger bobs? they were finger puppets, thats a good way of excercising them, or maybe the piano!!
-
Hmm...finger puppets maybe. Definitely not a piano player :D

Those wax baths are Heaven !! I love them so much I bought one ages ago when I had RSI from too much rotavating and spinning. Good luck with the physio.

Great to hear that you are mending. I have brought some hot wax this week but it's for my legs! I had no idea wax could be therapeutic, I have always associated it with pain.

I'm new to this thread. What caused the finger problem in the first place? Glad you are on the mend though. :bouquet:

oooh, hot wax?! At least the physio is impressed, even though you must feel its a sloooooow process :)

Little Blue...... Thank you for that, you're very thoughtful!
Roxy............ Blimey, that was nearly a month ago!!!!! Fiddling around on the computer with one finger is OK but all the animals, housework, even holding open a book to read = not good/possible. Mind you, no washing up to do!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

My finger really hurts today after the physio ....but, I do think its beginning to bend more than it did, and I can use it to type with now, although got to be careful. Have to wear a glove on that hand all the time I am outdoors, the cold weather seems to chill the finger right to the bone, and its very painful.
Have to say, it is hard dealing with the animals. Even lifting a water bucket to pour, or mixing feeds. You take your hands for granted until something like this happens.
I said to the physio that at least I had not broken my finger, but she said actually, a discolation can be more difficult to get right .....hopefully not mine, eh?
