do i need to have a pond to keep geese.have a river running through the farm but the geese will go away if i let them on there i think?.
-
feed them and keep their wings clipped they will come back.

make a frame wire it and put it across river each end of your boundry then they wont float away id love a river nearby just confine them feed them and then after a few weeks they know you as food so they will come back

No you dont need a pond to keep geese, but they will appreciate something they can get into to wash and they also like to mate in it although it isnt critical, I often find ours sat in a regular black bucket!!

watch out for any goslings that you get if you use containers they can drown if they can't get out.
