Title: where to but straw?

Can anyone reccomend where to buy straw in East Kent would possibly need it to be delivered

Helloo

We are near ashford and get straw from a local farmer, not sure if he delivers but will ask him as hoping to get there tommorow, where abouts are you?

What straw are you after? There is a chicken place on the romney marsh that does barley straw but not sure if they deliver, think its called cockadoodlequack.

Skidley we are near Dover.

Went on Sunday just  to LOOK at Old spots and have two coming in 2 weeks very exciting!! now a mad dash to get the rest of the fencing sorted and finding suppliers of food bedding etc

If you could ask about delivery to Dover that would be great

PS hows your nan doing?

If the farmer is not able to deliver we could collect in the car, but would be limited to how much we could take. Could you find out much it is and if there is a minimal/maximum amount we could have

Just to give you an idea: we can pick them up per bale. They're £1.50 per bale, though an hour further up north they're much cheaper.

Thanks for the info can't seem to find anyone near us. Getting excited and a little worried about pigs coming, just want to do thinks well for them :pig:

aaaah that takes me back a bit  eastling  did some work there in the early 70's  not far from you there was a young lad started to transport straw for a living  not that far to go   GRAFTY GREEN  find the who'd a thoughtit (PB/RESTURANT) about halfway back to the village on the same side of the road, good luck give my regards (vince)

He can't deliver to you but you are welcome to collect from him, but it may be too far from you, it's bilsington 10 mins or so from port lympne zoo.

£1.50 a bale, his name is Richard, really lovely guy,

Thanks for all the info. Think i might have found a farm that sells straw will give them a call in the morning and see what the charges are.

Hi thanks again for all the info.
 I have spoken to a local farmer and he charges £2.00 a bale for straw, and will delivery for free if we buy 40 bales. He also has large squares of straw at £35.00 but would need to have 3 for free delivery, bit much for two weaners but worth knowing for the future.
