Title: Advice re cleaning mucky bum please
Post by: OhLaLa on February 02, 2011, 09:49:00 pm
I have a ewe which arrived with a dirty bum (has been wormed, dagged), any other suggestions re cleaning it up? Still pretty grim under that tail.

And thanks guys for your advice so far - it has been greatfully received.

Probably best to get a big bucket of warm soapy water, get someone to hold the front end, put on your Marigolds and give the back end a jolly good wash, then a rinse.  Some sheep just seem to get dirtier bums than others

I use a VERY diluted drop of Jeyes Fluid as well to keep anything away.

As usual, sound advice.

Thanks guys, a soapy bum with a hint of Jeyes in the final rinse it is then (it's little tips like that, that make all the difference).
