Title: Make a covered hay rack/feeder - here's how.....
Post by: OhLaLa on January 31, 2011, 02:35:04 pm
I was looking for a Hay Hutch for the sheep and found this, so will be adapting and making one just a soon as I can find a plastic barrel.

Thought I'd share the info:

Hopefully, it will end up looking (ish) like one of these:

we made one by using an old metal framed futon bed bolted together to make a "V" shape then a pice of coregated tin job done at no cost at all as it was a good 7 years old

they look great (hay hutches) but are clearly not designed with NE Scotland wind speeds in mind, Ive had a whole pig ark cross two fields bouncing over a fence as it went before now.... :o
