Post by: shrekfeet on January 23, 2011, 05:39:42 pm
my wormer product says worm in-lamb ewes with a risk assesment from vet. I have a ewe with a dirty bum and want to worm her. Is it ok? she is about 4 weeks off lambing

What wormer are you using? Panacur has a very high safety margin and I have used it on all my stock - dogs sheep, cattle, donkeys at all stages of pregnancy and with no ill effects.

We used Combinex on all our pregnant ewes on the advice of the vet, and one was imminent.  They were new arrivals and was so they could mix with the rest of the flock.  The only instruction was not to worm too close to tupping.
