Title: Dual Purpose Poultry.
Post by: Castle Farm on January 23, 2011, 02:46:04 pm
I have a number of birds for sale from last years breeding pens.

Welsh Black Fowl.(http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h117/castlefarmpoultry/Welsh%20Black/March1st08039.jpg)(http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h117/castlefarmpoultry/Welsh%20Black/November07011.jpg)

This breed will produce cockerels at maturity around 7lbs and the pullets will lay around 180 eggs a year. Very good winter layers if hatched around April.

Indian Game.

Both Jubilee and Dark laced Indians(http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h117/castlefarmpoultry/Indian%20Game/100_2684.jpg)(http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h117/castlefarmpoultry/Indian%20Game/120108016-1.jpg)
and an Improved version that lays bigger and more eggs than a 'pure Indian Game. The Improved are 3/4 Indian 1/4 Welsh Black.

Very good layers of a large egg and cockerels again worth taking on for the freezer.(http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h117/castlefarmpoultry/100_3420.jpg)

All the breeding can be seen on my web page.

These are quality birds and are priced at £20 each (pol).

All these strains are top sitters.

All very nice looking birds Castlefarm :)

Do I remember you having some Blue Marans, a couple of people have asked me for these and I never know where to send them.  The other ones they seem to ask for are Wheatens.  Let me know if you do and I will pass your details on

all the best
Sue
