Title: Mr Fox
Post by: Frieslandfilly on January 21, 2011, 10:05:40 am
I went out to feed the chooks yesterday afternoon and who should I see but Mr Fox, sitting there as bold as brass in the next paddock. He didnt even move, just sat there looking at me, not until I made a bit of a din did he run away and then he stopped looked back to see if I really meant it! He is a new fox to us this is the 3rd time in a week we have spotted him, I think he is going to be a problem!!  :chook:

We had one just the same around Xmas time! he just sat there staring at me and eventually took a slow run away up the hill and stopped to see if i was still chasing - which I was, swearing and making all sorts of threats. he had taken just one of our hens but had obviusly come back to select the next one..

they are getting much cheekier these days, I wonder if its more of the town foxes that have been shifted to the country sometimes.

This one looks like a young dog fox, big with it, with lovely markings, beautiful specimen but I feel he is about to become public enemy no1 at Freislands!!
