Here you are! Your opportunity to show off your hairy ones!
Any excuse for me to snap away with my boys (plus i'm at work and a bit bored!)
Here's my old man ... he's only 7 but he's in charge of the pack. I've had him since he was dumped in my car when I was collecting money in an old job, he was thought to be about 5 weeks old. I LOVE this dog!!Toby - thought to be a collie cross something spaniel-esque!
Hurley: This picture was from last year - he's now almost three and is much broader. He's the sweetest dog you could ever meet but a little annoying in how much he craves attention ... like to groan a lot! A black lab x'd with something unknown!
The dribbler! This is flash! He's almost 3 and an Alano Espanol x'd with a neo mastiff ... he likes sleeping!
A couple from recent walks

and one of Leon, I'd hate to leave his lordship out!

Show me your hounds! ;D :dog:

they are all lovely, lovely pics as well, brought a smile to my face,
-
my crew, roxy the dobermannn greyhound cross is top bitch in our house she is 11 years old next week, she is a truly loyal faithful dog, she is amazing in every sense of the word, the jack russell is lucy she is 4 years old and a typical terrier, but she is so funny i call her my laughter box, as she makes me laugh every day, bonnie is the sleepy rottie, she is 4 years old and she is adorable, maybe a sandwich short of a picnic sometimes, she has these vague, blonde moment looks about her, i rescued bonnie and roxy.
The two kittens are coffee and teabag they are now 4 months old and showing us all how to climb trees!!!!
-
Just love the p hotos, and can relate to flash, heres one of me with our two black labs Isaly, 3, Ben 2, and Rohan, 1 year old yellow Lab and pup of Islay and then RHum, 1 year old chocolate lab, we all look depressed but we were and are very happy this was just at the end of a long walk so probably knackered!!!

Some lovely dogs on show folks , keep em coming ;)
-
Here are mine
Sadly Deuce is no longer with us, we had him PTS 5 years ago after incurable problems with aggression - we tried EVERYTHING but sadly, it wasn't to be. Still miss him :'( :'( :'(
And Boris is the best dog you could ever wish for (as long as you don't expect him to stay clean - what is it with white dogs ? :-\) he's scared of just about everything, but being almost the same size as a shetland pony, everyone who sees him is terrified of him - handy for unwanted people arriving ;) We got him as a rescue at 9 months old and he was so skinny (9 years old now and 8 and a half stone now, so no worries there lol!) and his party piece is to howl madly if you call him a p**f :o only that particular word triggers it, and it was hubby who made the discovery, not me ::)
-
oh they are lovely i lost german shepherd 6 months ago house is very very very quiet without him
-
;D ;D ;D ;D Just would NOT be such a nice life without dogs to help us!!
-
No 1 dog now rising thirteen checking out the pond
No 2 dog now eleven siting in the yard
No 3 dog now eight hating the snow
No 4 dog now six being nosy at the workshop
There are 3 more younger dogs!!!
-
;D So nice
-
(as long as you don't expect him to stay clean - what is it with white dogs ?
i agree, my white bitch loves walking round with pig s**t all over her neck, then wants to sit on the couch!! fox s**t is the worst tho!! ;D
-
Great pics everyone! I am loving Falco!
Hartstone ... my OH would have a fit over your pack! He's been hassling for a wippet cross (bedlington preferred) for months but I'm still holding out! :P
-
Heres mine
Monty Doberman (rescue from the rescue centre). Has arthritis in back tho he's only 6 :-( and not very livestock friendly but we have 6 foot fences round 4 acres to make sure he can have a good leg stretch. He is the gentlest chap Ive ever met, fantastic with children and adults. If he ever catches you with his mouth when playing he recoils in horror. Hates getting wet as he was kept in a yard as a guard dog and Dobies have really short thin coats :-(
Unlike Taggie the Border terrier whose motto is Never give up, never give in. Diagnosed with really bad hip dysplasia at 6 month, they wanted to chop off both hip joints. No thankyou, combination of hydrotherapy and MSM/Gl has meant she hasnt had a lame day since. Excellent ratter and very loving.
Id like more but Monty would eat them...

thats a really good age for a lab esp one with probs, bless its heart. We have some metacam if either of the dogs was to ever have a bad day but touch wood have never needed it for Taggie and Monty only a couple of times when he's overdone it.
The hills are the eastern edge of the Cairngorms, the photos are taken at home (it's a bit wild an woolly up 'ere, I love it :-))

When you post a reply look at the bottom left. There is a phrase additional options. Click on that, then browse for your photo and click post. You may need to reduce the size of your photos and the way you do that depends on what software you use.

No, tis Morven, which I believe is a Corbett (in the first pic); the others are lower hills beyond our village. We get the wind and snow straight off the mountains, deep n crisp n even :-))
-
this is brock
-
Hope this works - I've never tried posting pics before.
I don't seem to have many good pics of Jess - just one from when we lived on the boat, and this other when I first got the sheep. Shortly after that pic was taked Elfie (the ewe) butted Jess. Since then Jess won't go within 30 yards of a sheep.
-
OK that one worked - now the other one:-
-
Jess is beautiful...
I know I'm abit biased, but I love the tan head much more than a darker one - it makes the eyebrows much more expressive!

hi koyuk does look angry in that pic, i think he was fed up with me trying to take this picture, all he wants to do is play and run in harness. we call him our pretty boy, best thing is he answers to it, that and flower boy because he pulls lumps of grass up and brings them to his mum. lol

Lots of great pictures there.
Very envious of you Nigel. I would love to race dogs like you do. Did I spot some Alaskan placenames in your choice of name for your dogs? ;D ;D
Keep 'em coming folks
Ian
-
hi ian
you did, all of the dogs we have bred have been named after places, rivers or mountains in alaska. some names have been shortened ie naNUSHshuk. thanks, i love running them in harness, i love the quietness of it all when we get going, then the only sound you become aware of is the dogs breathing.
kn
ps my name is reece not nigel, thats just a home joke lol

My Brittanys are all given Gaelic mountain names when I register them with the KC - in honour of my late husband, John, who was a Mountain Leader. You can imagine what all the other judges say when they have to pronounce them or write them in their reports!
The home bred two I have now are fairly simple Aberdon Sgurr Mhairi and Anerdon Esgair Dhu ;D
