ohhhhh, the temptations
hmmmm i was looking for new birds though just not this soon, i'll work on it
especially the buff sussex,
-
What a shame you live so far away! North Ayrshire to Fife would be just too far to travel for me sorry :(
-
Can you not just sell the birds and find somewhere to store the coops? Seems a shame to lose them all, when you might find your dream property to rent somewhere else, then you have to start with new coops etc. Surely if the birds were gone the landlord wouldn't mind the coops there. Could probably even store some of the henhouses etc here- I've one empty of my own just now (just to prove I am not looking to use them for my use without paying!).

Oh- just been told by my other half that a young friend is looking for hen coops. Can you pm me your number?

Replied to both Tom & Beth
This is going mental
The nice chap from East Lothian has passed my number onto a friend of his & he's just left with an bootfull of birds.... Between them, they've nearly cleaned me out.
I've updated the main post to show what i have left.
Thanks to all.
Cameron, i thought you said Welsummers when you called, then i read your post above.
I do have 2 Buff Sussex pullets left.
Please PM me your number & i'll call you back

what a shame! i'm probs too far away to be helpfull, but you could bring your stuff down here, coups and birds, to wait until you find somewhere else if that would help?
-
would defo be interested in the two buff sussex and potentially he black rocks or cvalders if you still need homes.
-
Thanks Cameron
-
pmd you :&>
-
THanks very much for the birds, all snuggled up in their new hut, much to the distaste of the rabbits, suppose they will just have to get on with it.
hope it all sorts itself out soon
-
That's good news Cameron
Had my idiot LL on the phone this morning moaning, so i've taken the bull by the horns & viewed another house this afternoon, just gotta fill out the paperwork & wait n see if the owner ok's it.
Fingers crossed eh

Thanks Faith, appreciated ;)

Sounds awful, I'd hate to lose my animals because of someone else, rough time for you, hope you get something sorted for a new place to stay? Have you managed to re-home all of your stock?
-
The last 3 should be on their way to their new home today.
It's not a nice feeling Lynn :(
I've also found half a roll of chicken wire, it is 4' x 150' x 1 1/2 OFFERS

All birds rehomed now, panic over ;D
Mega thanks to Cameron & Alex/Beth
I can breathe easier now ::)
Now, anyone want a nice brooder ;)
-
I might - if you are still sitting on it when I come over ;) ;) :&>
-
well I'm glad you re-homed all your animals, just have to re-home yourself now :(
-
:D :D :D
That might prove to be more difficult :-\

Great news, you will be able to start again one day, I know some farmers have rental houses available, my brother in law used to live in one with a famiily that kept horses and all sorts of other things including stretch limos in the garage that " someone" rented, they turned out to be trouble, loads of trouble, not sure if they are still there and if they are, I wonder if they still have knee's? ;) ;)
-
Some farmers fall under the "time waster" catagory Sandy.
One said person offered us a lovely wee cottage with half an acre garden, is fine with hens, kids, dog etc. Viewed 3 times just to be sure it's what we want.
When it comes to paying the deposit, starts to put barriers in our way & now has fallen off the face of the earth ... not taking calls etc
Says it all really

Longcarse is for rent for 6 months.

keeping everything crossed for you dave hope everything works out ok, sure it will in the end :hshoe:
