Hi, One of our neighbours (they have only just moved here in the last few weeks) gave us a Cockerel he wanted rid of on Saturday (he's got 2 others)
He is a 3 year old Buff Orp and he is smashing ! He took his time wandering around the run, very calm and collected & took his time getting aquainted with the girlies.
He is quite calm with us when we go in the run, so I think he's going to settle in nicely.
Oh, we have named him Ken (tucky) and the girls are the dippers !! I know we are very sad !!! ;)

thats a cool name, have you got a pic? do your girls approve of there new fella?

sounds like you've picked a good 'un .... our cockerel Lenin came from a neighbour & still isnt very tame after 2 years!
how many girlies does he have to look after?
:)

I will try and post a photo of him -I'm using a different computer today, he has 16 girls and seems to be really nice - they go up to him and all but throw themselves at him, hussys!! ::)
