We have recently purchased 4 Point of lay hybrids as our wee group of hens were down to 2! In the past we had a cockeral who kept the peace however our two older legbars are bullying the new girls especially the two small girls. We initially kept them apart before moving them into the night enclosure the new girls still have their own little henhouse but when they come out the old girls chase them. It has only been a week shall we just let them sort it out or is there something else we can try. Sorry for long post!

They may take a little longer to find their place within the pecking order. It sometimes takes as long as a month before new and old hens are fully settled with each other. Once the new hens come into lay the dynamic will almost certainly change. You could try taking the older two out for a few days and then re-introduce them, so they are the newbies. Another possibility is to spray all the hens with a weak vinegar and water solution so they all smell alike.
