Hi
My name is Jacqui and my dh and I are very new crofters on the Western Isles. We have a 4 year old son. We have just been given approval from the crofters commission for our 2 acre croft. We have 2 sheep and a few hens. Very exciting venture, but apart from several years gardening, we have no real farming experience. The local community are really helpful,. I found this forum while searching for some spinning advice. Looking forward to a good browse around.

hello - thank you all for such a warm welcome :)
We live on the Isle of Lewis, although we are visiting family in West lothian for a couple of weeks. Apparently it is snowing on lewis tonight, but, still, I really miss it and can't wait until we are back.
Lovely site.
