I found a tick on one of my hens (Bantam) which disappeared before I could get it off…presumably one of the other hens nabbed it…. There will be more adults and nymphs I’m sure so what can I treat the house and hens with to get rid of them? :o

Ticks don't generally cause a problem to poultry as they are slow moving enough for the hens to pick them off. But if you want to use a deterrent then dusting the hens with diatomaceous earth (Diatom) will suffice, and it will help keep lice (more of an issue in some hens) under control.
