Just wondered if you can give human pain relief and in what dose to sheep please I.e. paracetamol, neurofen, asprin... I have a pet that is lame. I've treated for foot rot but I'm not convinced that's what it is. It's possibly a knee issue?? I can get the vet on Monday but would like to give some pain relief before. A vet once recommended asprin for a poorly chicken so thought id ask about sheep. Any advice appreciated. Thank you

I am a doctor not a vet but I certainly would not give paracetamol to any other species! It relies on metabolism in the liver to become an active drug and this is species specific, you may end up giving your sheep acute liver failure. It is for example highly toxic for cats I believe. Bute is 50x more toxic for humans than horses mg/Kg as some unfortunate jockeys have found out.
