Hello
We have woodland that we would like to use for free range pigs. Can anyone advise on what type of fencing we need to use.

Either electric, or very strong stock fencing, or a combination of both. We have got away with just stout stock fencing plus a top strand of barbed wire so far (10+ years and we do all our own fencing) but "digginess" depends on the breed of pig. Some are more enthusiastic than others. Within a decent patch of woodland there should be enough to keep them interested. Are you planning just weaners for fattening or permanent residents?

Training. start with electric teach them its naughty and painful , wont take long reinforce the message every now and then. Keep them occupied toys etc , a bored pig will always find something to do.

hey there, for fencing pigs in a woodland you'll def want something sturdy. electric is a solid option to train them but also consider using strong woven wire or mesh fencing - pigs can be super determined diggers.

Ours dig a lot but standard stock fencing with barb top and bottom has worked fine.
