Title: Air ambulance in field
Post by: Twotwo on February 03, 2024, 02:10:49 pm
The air ambulance has just landed in our field, of course that is absolutely fine- but next to in- lamb ewes (10 days to go), they bunched up and were worried but fine now. How might it take if they were going to drop their lambs early, would I see signs quickly.

If nothing has happened  by now then they should be fine , so near to lambing it needs a traumatic situation to cause problems  eg  physical damage or dogs chasing for a long time , in the first 4-5 weeks after ram service then you would worry about embryo loss from any kind of  stress

Yes they are fine 😀 thank you.
No harm done. Pilot took the helicopter straight up and then away from them .. gave them something to look at 😳😲🐑🐑🐑🐑🚁

When my son and a couple of his students flew in the sheep loved it, best entertainment they'd had, three helicopters at once  8)  Sheep enjoy a novelty.
