Hello Roxy  so good to hear from you again, you're def made of stern stuff surviving in a caravan over winter.
Looking forward to your update, I've got an addition to my herd - not with us yet tho

hey you!
hello and welcome back!
hope all is well (and you managed to keep the caravan warm enough through the snow?)
got your christmas pressies here waiting - they are eating us out of house and home.... will post some pics so you can chose!

Update as promised.
Will keep it brief, so as not to bore you, and also, in case my connection goes mid post!
Still in caravan, so frustrating,as farm is empty, and not even up for sale - my brother seems to be dragging his feet for whatever reason.
Gas and water been frozen most days due to low temps, and lots of snow. Got mains hook up, so leccy heater which helps.,
Had the most dreadful cough for three weeks, which has slowed me up, and behind with everything.
Cold weather killed 6 of my hens and my gorgeous cockerel, which I am gutted about/. Plus remaining AN goat, Abel due to the cold I think.
Other goats ok, but kidding going to be later - kids were here this time last year. There again, no bad thing with this cold weather.
Mobile phone took a funny turn some weeks ago, deleted names left me just numbers - been getting texts wishing me Happy xmAS, and if there was no name I had no idea who it was from!! So that was a headache.

Hiya! Ain't mobile broadband marvellous? When we moved into our place, the satellite BB was still active for a couple of weeks, but it was painfully slow. Like you, I went out and bought a dongle, and am now getting 1.5 to 2 meg/sec, AND it's way cheaper! Just as well we had it really, as we got snowed in for a week before Christmas, and Mrs Womble used it to work from home. BT are going to re-connect the landline, but they've quoted a 6 week leadtime on the order, and in any case they reckon we're too near to the end of the pipe to get proper broadband!
Sorry to hear about your birds and freezes - keep hanging in there, as I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end!
-
When I was young and the gas froze we'd heat the cylinder with a blowlamp. Worked a treat but probably heavily frowned on!
-
Hi Roxy nice to see you back girly ;D
-
Hi Roxy, so pleased to hear that you are back, I often wondered how you were getting on. Shame that you lost your animals but my god the winter has been so harsh. Look forward to hearing from you again. :bouquet: :)
-
Hi Roxy lovely to hear from you. Sorry things havent moved on. Would you brother consider renting the farm, would it then be possible for you to rent it from yourself and your brother? Just a silly thought.
-
If both you and your brother own the farm then it's probably held in a trust for sale. This is legal jargon but means you each have the right to sell it - it doesn't need both. Just a thought

Good to hear from you. Not great news but at least we know you're live 'n' kicking!
Hope the New Year brings good things for you.
