Sorry Sarah, If this is rare I could be rich LOL.
Grows like crazy here, but I think you have to be careful, it's causing problems escaping into the wild, on schedule 3 in Ireland.
Amazing plant when in full growth though 🙂

Hi Ya penninehillbilly
Thank you for your feed back.
These are seedlings grown from a mother plant transported legally from rio grande, brazil. Huge, spiky and rare here in scotland The massive crown is to be covered with its dying leaves in the snow as it is timid of extreme cold.
Possibly you're referring to a rather invasive
smaller hybrid cryptica?
Thank you for your helpful comments

Looks pretty common in the UK

Are you using the correct name variation?

Hi Ya
Hopefully the picture of the spiky stem of the mother plant (7 ft) of my seedlings will help distinguish between these gunnera seedlings and the more common cryptica hybrid smooth stem.
Hope it loads from my smartphone.
Keeps saying file is too big
Sarah
Update, responsible homes now found for all seedlings, thanks for listening.
