Title: Sow weight
Post by: Helencus on December 31, 2010, 08:25:02 pm
How heavy should a saddleback sow be at around 1 yr old? Going to 'weigh' mine tomorrow as they need worming before they farrow and wondered what the avg is.

My flubenol oral wormer comes with a measuring scoop to treat the 'average' sow - with a weight of 130Kg.
I can't be more helpful than that I'm afraid - my Kune Kune sow would be a lightweight compared to your Saddleback, cos she's somewhere around the 80-90 Kg mark  ;)

I think mine are around 100 k at 9 months.   Nicely covered not fat, they are GOS though.
