We have 4 female Boer goat kids for sale, born in May this year. They form part of our 25 strong flock. We had quite a lot of difficulty originally sourcing female Boers so thought we may make other smallholders lives easier by offering females for sale. We do not want to expand our flock of 14 adult females, so they will otherwise be designated for meat. They will be able to be put to a Billy from October 2011. They are 100% Boer but we are not yet registered with the Boer Goat Society.
We are in Kent, and they are £200 each. This seems to be the standard price for Boer goats. Please PM me if you would like further information or pics.

Has anyone just seen the goats on countryfile?
This is the breed of goat we have! It is really exciting to see how much the meat is increasing in popularity. It would be a real shame to use breeding stock for meat if they could find good homes with someone forward thinking enough to produce this meat. We would keep them ourselves, except we do not want to risk inbreeding.
I am so pleased that they have been featured, as he said the meat is low in cholesterol, fat and calories, and tastes delicious - an ideal smallholder's animal!

I'd love to start with Boers, but I'm about as far as it's possible to get from Kent and still be in England!
-
I would like to too but Aberdeenshire!!!

If I had a few more acres, I'd be tempted by some Boer for meat. But sadly, I don't- and also I'm too far away! We do get more people asking about Boer goats now- the word is spreading. Hardly any breeders in Scotland though.

Hello
I have just dropped you an email as my wife is useless at looking at this forum :)
After a quick google I see that you have written a book on raising goats! So I know that the girls will be going to a good home...

Hello
They are from unregistered stock that we had originally purchased before we registered with BBGS. Not sure where they start from?
