Title: Draff
Post by: docsal on February 25, 2023, 03:25:40 pm
Has anyone ever fed draff to sheep? I see on the net that it is suitable but surely must have a small amount of alcohol in it?? Should I rinse it first? Brewed in steel, not copper so no issue there. Maybe rinse it first?
(‘Someone I know’ has started making small batch whisky 🥃 😉)

We used to feed a lot of brewers grains when we had dairy cattle.  Since then I have fed dried and bagged brewers grains from Harbro to goats.

Used to get arctic loads in the 80's when it was a cheap feed ,tipped onto concrete  ,levelled   off about 2ft deep cover in salt then cover with a plastic sheet .  Fed it using a silage feed trailer onto grass
