Goodbye blackberry and hello the Galicia countryside. For a while now I had been reading the posts on this website with envy and wished I had some land and animals I could call my own. After a few years planning myself, wife and 2 young boys have escaped the rat race (working 80 hours a week in the city I hardly saw my kids) and now live in the depths of the Galician countryside. My father is Spanish (farming family) and I have been coming hear for years (shipped out for the summer hols to my grandparents). Now we are hear and for the past year I have been sorting out the mountain of paperwork and doing the necessary construction work required for a free range pig farm. I have permission for 30 Sows and currently have 9 (all due to give birth on new years day or there abouts). Anyway I thought I would introduce myself and also say thanks to all those that reply to the questions asked, and hopefully at some stage I will gain enough experience to share what I have learnt / going to learn.
