Title: Clipping
Post by: suzi on February 19, 2023, 02:52:29 pm
Vets instructions I have to clip my sons 13.2mg pony every winter.
He needs clipping tomorrow. I’ve never clipped a horse. Dogs yea sheep yes goats yes even the cat. Never the ponies as I’ve never needed too!
I’m buying new blades and oil tomorrow (I clipped the sheep last summer as I couldn’t get a shearer for 4 ewes. Needs must at the end of the day!)
I’m buying proper sheep shearing clippers this year to do my gang.

Can anyone give me pointers on clipping everywhere. Legs the lot.
Poor pony is over heating and generally miserable.
Doesn’t help he’s my sons pony and my sons injured so stuck at home (been nearly a week stuck at home now).
His pony is also depressed (vets diagnosis!)
My son staggered to see him for a few mins this afternoon.
He won’t be seeing him again for a few days

I suggest you look it up on the internet - "How to clip a pony". All information is there!
