And I have impressed myself. The pattern is really easy with you tube tutorials to ensure that you understand it all.

Oh lovely, a crafty post :excited:
Buttermilk that's gorgeous! it must have been fun to make.
For some reason I did not one tiny bit of craft stuff from the very first days of the pandemic until the day before yesterday. Now I have begun knitting a jumper with a giant cone of Hebridean yarn, spun for me 9 years ago by the Halifax lads, (with lots of other cones too), plus a cone of 'orangutan' mohair from World of Wool (at great expense), knitted together. I've nearly done the welt, bottom up (I tried top down starting a few years back with bought yarn, hated the process which is possibly why I did nothing for so long - it's not finished yet, lurks evilly in a knitting bag). Everyone is talking about things that are good for your mental health and I am so happy just knitting the right way up :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit: :knit:

Cool! two colours as well!
I always thought that crochet is the slightly less cool sister to knitting... but since my left wrist is now really quite arthritic and knitting is now impossible, I have started to use up may remaining batch of Shetland wool and am turning it into a giant granny square, just going round and round (it's a square) until I run out... (and with the central heating off this winter it will be very useful as a lightweight but still quite warm blanket round the house).

You still only use one colour per row. Only two stitches a double and a treble. Really, really easy to do and the stitch count remains the same all the way through.
This is really warm for those chilly times.

That doesn't look "really really easy"! It's beautiful :sunshine:

How lovely, thinking of having a go myself to get through the winter months.
