Title: Hello from Formartine
Post by: Lambic on September 11, 2022, 05:40:39 am
Thought should say hello, the website is proving to be an invaluable source of information.

We are in the process moving from the CNP to a registered smallholding.  Very early days though.

Long term plan is mainly habitat improvement through meadows, wetlands and forestry.  Probably some scope to make a few pennies along the way.

Cheers!

Yes, that is the emotion that sums it up.

My advice, don't move house unless you really need to at the moment.

We had our offer accepted March this year, with our own house already sold STC.

Through a combination of solicitors, agent and the seller we didn’t move in until the end of September and even then we had to stay in temporary accommodation for a month and deliver an ultimatum with the threat of pulling out.

It’s a nightmare system.

A belated welcome from me as well lamb is, hope things are moving on for you.
Had to look up where you are, new one on me 😁. Used to live in Mintlaw, then New Deer.
I think we have quite a few members in that area?
