Title: Chinese goose with consistent trembling legs.
Post by: GooseGazer on July 27, 2022, 07:23:56 pm
My 4-month old Chinese gosling has consistent trembling legs.  This has just began. He was fine last week. I see both his legs trembling as he walks around or stands still.  Does anyone know what this might be?  He is eating well and grazes all day with the others. Seems to be very healthy and is playful.   I can't find anything on the internet that is helpful.   Thank you for any help!

What are you feeding him? He's either not getting adequate nutrition OR getting too much and has grown too rapidly and his leg muscles need to catch up. In a Chinese though which are quite a fine breed I would think the latter is less likely.

Are they getting plenty of vegetables etc - mine used to have cracked corn - same as my hens, wheat, barley, or similar grains, rolled oats, rice

They loved grapes, frozen peas, and mealworms (yes I know it's illegal to give them to hens etc  :innocent:), and bits of vegetable peelings etc
