:sheep: hi , I've given my sheep ewes and lambs cobalt drench along with mineral buckets,
But they always seem to lack cobalt. ( they have scally ears)
The are on good ground with loads of grass
Does anyone know any other method to give sheep cobalt and to keep there cobalt levels up?.
They are also wormed regularly
Thanks

Have you had the vet test them? It is the only way you can be certain. Using boluses is a much better way to provide minerals.

Hi thank you for the reply :excited:
Is it a blood test or dung test ?
It's just every time I give them cobalt the scally ears mend :sheep:

Start with a blood test to find out if only a cobalt shortage , often others involved eg selenium / copper / iodine
