Title: TAS stars
Post by: Rosemary on December 07, 2010, 02:03:42 pm
Do you want to nominate someone who's gone above and beyond to help out in the bad weather, when they don't have to?

HappyHippy's taxi driver for example, who walked HH's daughter 3 miles so that she could get home from school - presumably he had three miles to walk back. That sounds like a star to me!

Oh he is - and his wife too ! They probably walked about 10 miles in the snow to do the round trip with Kaitlin - and they didn't HAVE to do it.
So it's a HUGE star for William and Margaret Higgins from Hamilton - without them my 5 year old would have had to stay overnight in her school and I just don't know how either her or me would have coped with that.
I'm off to tell the world now  ;) ;D ;D ;D

You don't have to look too far for people that are STARS, I know a few on this site that have went far and beyond the call of duty. :bouquet: You know who you all are. :)

can we nominate those that are 'TOSSERS' as well ?
If so I nominate the council gritters who only grit the parts of the road that aren't frozen !!!!  ::) ;D ;D
I know they aren't TAS members , but they are TOSSERS !!!!

cheers

No, Russ, this is a positive, feelgood topic. Although complaining about tossers might make you fel good  ;D

Start a TAS tossers topic if you want  ;D

I nominate Stagecoach as the TOSSERS who made my kids cross the A92 and subsequently got picked up by strangers who offered a lift - could they refuse that in - 10 C after being dumped by the bus driver?
I nominate David, our very local school taxi man who went out of his way to find them and bring them home safely. He has taken over the main school run until Stagecoach outgrows their childish whinging about Health and Safety - theirs, not our kids'! - or until the weather improves  ::) :&>
