Hi,
I kept Bees previously but lost my to hives about four years ago over a very long wet mild winter.
I salvaged four frames from the hives that had honey stores on them but were not anywhere near full - it was not worth trying to extract the honey.
I have just obtained a colony which immediately swarmed. I caught and have split and now have three hives.
I wonder if it is okay to put the old frames and there honey stores into one of the smaller nuc’s.
Anyone know if this is okay?

Realistically the best thing to do with 4 year old frames from a die out would be to have used them to start a bonfire.
Good clean foundation would be the best approach.
