Title: Supplementing duck food
Post by: Kiran on June 04, 2022, 07:08:24 am
With the rising cost of layers pellets I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about stuff I could potentially grow to supplement  the layers pellets to stretch the food out s little longer. The chickens love garden scraps for example, the ducks however are less keen. They did enjoy lettuce leaves last year for example and I read somewhere that they love peas.

They will both still have feeders of layers pellets available to them but just thought it would be worth home growing some food too.

Ours like spinach. During flockdown they and the chickens enjoyed anything green!
