Post by: langdon on November 29, 2010, 06:10:06 pm
the owner of the billy rand today to say that they ( billy & milly ) had not mated yet :(
she has been with them now for 4 days, they said that they dont mind keeping her for another week.

Is she due in season?

Because if not- its generally 21 days between seasons, and therefore it could be a couple of weeks!

Ah that's useful to know. hopefully Reggie will enjoy the peace when the time comes - I think he got a bit fed up of 'unwanted attention' from savannah during her last season  ;D

maybe milly has mated successfully and the billy knows it and doesnt' want to try anymore but his owners never witnessed it.

In my opinion, a responsible stud goat owner should have hand mated/ be prepared to hand mate a visiting goat.  Not just put the visitor in with him and leave there.  Or am I misunderstanding the arrangements.
