Title: Horse field shelter
Post by: johnmac on November 28, 2010, 07:51:34 pm
My other half is looking for a cheap either new or second hand field shelter seeing as it looks like we are in for yet another horrendous winter!

Big enough for two horses ideally!

Any ideas, links or even one for sale??

Thanks,

John

The ILPH (or whatever they call themselves now) use a simple vertical L shaped structure to which they attach that net-like material that lets the wind through but slows it dramatically.  The L shape means that wind from any quarter is caught and it's cheap to build.

Round here in the softy south I can't recall seeing a horse actually go into a field shelter. I did see a neighbours shelter blown over by the wind though
