Hello Everyone, This looks like a very nice site you have going and I'm looking forward to reading about all the endeavors. Bob and I have a small farm in the north central portion of North Carolina where we raise 19 sheep for fiber - Corriedale, Dorset & Jacob; dairy goats - 2 Alpine and 8 Nigerian Dwarf; 2 llamas watch over the goats; 2 Angora bunnies and various chickens for eggs, except they have all stopped laying! I taught myself to spin last winter and just recently bought an older floor loom so am learning to weave. I also make goat's milk soap that I sold with my handspun at a farmer's market last season. I also make cheese for our own use. In spite of being in a very severe drought I am still hoping to get the garden up and really running this next year; especially important will be developing a grey water system. Our place hasn't much infrastructure aside from the house so we have been busy putting in electric perimeter fencing over the last 2 years and making shelters both permanent and portable. Thanks for letting me join in!
