It really has been quite spectacular
although Sunny, the lurcher has been freaked out by the thunder... :( :(
The last time we had such spectacular thundersnow was in Stirling, Thursday 3rd January 1991, from 12.40am to 4.20am....
Any guesses why i would remember these details????????????????????

The only reason I can think of for being up at that time of the night would be giving birth - either yourself or the livestock ? But then, would you remember the EXACT time and date for animals, mmmm - think not ;) ;D ;D ;D

either that or getting the little darlings started

Friday night,around 11pm, The snow was coming down thick and fast when it suddenly started to thunder and lightening. It was pretty scary as the wind also got up. I have never seen lightening whist it is snowing and the whole village was talking about it the next day.

it was spekatular, I don't think I've experienced this before - skies of a scary dark grey and lightning hitting the river every few minutes. I actually woke up from the noise around 6 a.m. :&>

It really was something wasn't it, it lasted ages

Well HH, We really are well tuned in - got it in one!!! first pains coincided with first clap of thunder overhead.... the thunder and lightening continued litterally until My LGT was born. It was really spooky... i remember someone irreverantly declaring the second coming...
she opened her eyes and just fixed the MW with one of her stares. After nearly 20 years she now has those stares down to a tee.
last nights storm brought it all back. LOL
LGT has really lived up to her dramatic entrance, she is never one for the middle road, its life at full pelt and complete extremes.
i am exhausted. ::)

I'm feeling left out! Had snow here certainly, but I don't recall ever having thundersnow. Might get out with a camera tomorrow now we're on our third falling in two days.

My wee Kaitlin's arrival was deemed the second coming too :o
A ginger headed wean born on Xmas day - she's definately NOT the anti-christ, but she's not too far off ;) ;D ;D ;D
